Blooming with Books and Blossoming Creativity in Honeybees!
In Honeybees, our young learners have been buzzing with excitement as they dove headfirst into the wonderful world of reading and planted the seeds of creativity in various activities. From exploring enchanting tales to crafting unique sculptures, it's been a week of growth and discovery!
Our literary adventure began with two captivating stories: "Erol's Garden" and "Jack and the Beanstalk." These tales sparked imagination and curiosity, prompting discussions about gardens, fantastical adventures, and the power of growth – both literal and metaphorical.
Inspired by the garden themes, we shifted our focus to the real-life magic of seeds and plant growth. We investigated the essential elements that a seed needs to flourish, learning about the importance of sunlight, water, and nurturing care. Putting our knowledge into practice, the Honeybees embarked on their own gardening journey by planting sunflower seeds! We are eagerly awaiting the emergence of our own little sunflowers, watching with anticipation as they embark on their own lifecycle.
The rhythmic fun didn't stop there! We delved into the classic rhyme "Round and Round the Garden," engaging in playful movements and sensory exploration, further enriching our understanding of gardens and their delightful inhabitants.
Finally, in art we saw a burst of vibrant yellow as we turned our attention to daffodils. After carefully observing the unique characteristics of these spring blooms, the Honeybees transformed into budding sculptors, crafting their own 3D daffodil sculptures. These tactile creations allowed them to express their understanding of shape, form, and colour in a unique and engaging way.
