Oak Class News - Welcome Back!

This week in English, the children have been completing their hot task by writing their own journey stories. Each story was about a child who finds a lost animal and returns it safely home. The children worked really hard on their handwriting and focused on using punctuation and plenty of descriptive adjectives.

In History, we have started learning about the monarchy. We now know who our King is and explored the royal family tree. We also have discovered some of the important jobs the King or Queen must do as part of their role.

In Science, we learned the difference between living and non-living things and explored the characteristics that something needs in order to be classed as living. The children were fascinated to discover that plants and trees are living things!

The class had a fantastic time during their dance workshop with DNC Academy on Thursday. Letters will be sent home today with more information. The children returned to class full of excitement and couldn’t wait to share the dance moves they had learned!
