Willow Class Gets Crafty and Clever with Chicken Licken

This week in Willow class, the classroom has been buzzing with creativity and learning, all sparked by the classic tale of Chicken Licken! We've been diving deep into the story, expanding our vocabulary and exploring the personalities of the characters.A particular highlight was our focus on the crafty fox.

We examined his sly traits and engaged in lively discussions about his motivations. The children then channeled their inner artists, bringing the cunning fox to life on paper through vibrant drawings. The classroom walls are now adorned with depictions of this memorable character, showcasing the children's interpretations and artistic skills.

Beyond the world of Chicken Licken, Willow class has been embracing the art of mixed media collage. This hands-on activity has encouraged experimentation with a variety of materials, fostering creativity and problem-solving.

The children have been enthusiastically layering different textures and colours, learning to combine various elements to create unique and visually engaging artworks.

And, with Mother's Day fast approaching, the children have been diligently working on creating beautiful and heartfelt cards for their mums. Alongside the artistic endeavors, we've also been focusing on number formation, ensuring a solid foundation in numeracy.
