• Monday 24 March 2025 Maple put their measuring skills to the test! Maple Class have been busy putting their measuring skills into practise this week. We have been measuring volume, capacity and length. These photographs show the children measuring different objects around the classroom using an object (we used our multi link cubes). First, they had to estimate how many cubes they thought they would need and then use the cubes to find out if they were right! They were all very surprised by how long the teachers' desk, was compared with their estimates! Well done, Maple Class! You have worked very hard this week!

• Friday 7 February 2025 Maple Class Learn all about doubles! This week in Maths, Maple class have been learning to find doubles with numbers up to 10. They have used the tens frames and counters to help them. Great work Maple class!

• Wednesday 22 January 2025 Maple Learn about place value! Maple Class have been learning about Place Value to 20 this week. As part of our learning we have been finding different ways of making 20 using the Numicon. The children have really enjoyed learning making different shapes and seeing all the ways they can make the number 20.
• Monday 2 December 2024 Maple Class have been learning Number Lines Year 1 have been learning how to subtract using a number line in Maths this week.
