🌳 This Week in Oak Class

We learnt all about Harvest Festival and why it is an important celebration. The children then got creative and made their own fantastic artwork inspired by root vegetables.

✏️ English

In English, we have been busy writing the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children have worked incredibly hard, focusing carefully on using finger spaces and writing neatly on the line. We are so proud of the effort and determination they have shown! We will be finishing our stories next week.

🔢 Maths

In Maths, we have been recapping one more and one less and developing our understanding of comparing numbers. The children have worked hard and are becoming increasingly confident with their number knowledge.

🎨 Art

In Art, we learnt about the artist Paul Klee. We recapped our learning about different types of lines from last week and then explored how music can influence the way we draw. The children experimented with creating different lines while listening to slow and fast music, thinking about how their lines changed with the tempo. They had great fun getting creative and experimenting with their ideas!
