In Writing this week, we have been learning all about adjectives. We discovered that adjectives are special words that help us to describe objects, people and places. The children worked really hard and came up with some exciting adjectives to make their writing more interesting!
In Maths, we have been exploring number lines and filling in missing numbers from 0–20. We have also been learning about more than, less than and equal to, and have started using the symbols <, > and =.
In History, we thought about special events and the different things that can help us remember them. We looked at diaries, medals, toys, tickets and postcards. The children shared some lovely ideas, including how a postcard might remind us of a special holiday and a medal might remind us of taking part in or winning a sporting event.
In Science, we explored how trees change throughout the four seasons. Using paint, the children decorated their trees to show what they might look like in Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.
In Art, we learnt about the artist Bridget Riley and explored how she uses different types of lines in her artwork. The children experimented with creating their own lines, thinking carefully about colour, pressure and control when using their wax crayons.
